Coochiemudlo Creatives
images and craft inspired by mangroves

Narelle Renn
Narelle has art in her blood: Her mother was an artist and Narelle says that she ‘was drawing almost from when she was born’. She went on to study art at the Seven Hills Art College and has never stopped drawing and creating. She moved from Bulimba to the Redlands when she was sixteen and has lived at Capalaba, Russell Island, Coochiemudlo Island and now Victoria Point. Narelle has always loved the natural environment and for many years was active in monitoring Coochiemudlo’s shoreline through Mangrove Watch. Her thirteen years on Coochie were very creative ones and the Island community remembers her with great affection.
We are grateful to Narelle for allowing us to revisit her Vision through Mangroves exhibition.
