Preserving History and Written Records
Have you old photographs of Coochie? Can we copy them? Tell us your Coochie story!

We are a group of community members inspired by the local history of the island in which we live. Here you will find links to historical records, photographs and interviews with Island residents. Some sections are still under construction.

The Society still has copies of some books written by past and present Coochie residents. These books include The Magic of Coochie, Characters Covers and Cliffs, Bananas Bullfrogs and Boarding School, and Why it's OK to talk to your dog. The society keeps sale prices very low, ranging from $5 - $15 depending on the title. They offer rich and varied insights into the Island's settlement history. Please contact a committee member for details.
